In our weekly Bible Studies we go through a book of the Bible verse by verse. Our weekly time is not spent filling in blanks in workbooks or going through steps of self help books. Together we spend time reading, studying, memorizing and meditating on His Holy Word.
We know and believe His Word does not return void and accomplishes His intended purpose. His Word changes lives. No amount of their picking themselves up, man’s long list of rules or mans anger is ever going to permanently change their life and heart. (James 1:20) They will return to prison again and again if they learn to depend upon themselves or others.
We believe it is His Holy Spirit, the One, Who opens their eyes to see, their ears to hear and provides them with wisdom to understand His truth. We believe His salvation and grace is what transforms lives. We must read, study, meditate on and help them memorize His Word to be adequately feeding His sheep. When He changes them, they rely on Him, they know and understand His truth than they are standing, walking and living on the firm foundation.
The reading and hearing of His Word is powerful and here (below) is a story of a martyr who is proof of how powerful His Word is. Please, take time to read the story of Scotland’s Protestant martyr David Stratoun.
