“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
His Ministries continue according to Thy Perfect Will.
Some days may seem impossible but we know from the truth of His word, “With God All Things Are Possible,” and “We Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Us.”
The past two weeks have been humbling as I waited on the Lord. I cried and prayed to seek His will if I was to step away from prison ministry. Why, you may ask? We had no volunteers. No volunteers, no prison ministry.
His Word tells us that in Matthew 9:37&38 Jesus told His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
This is exactly what I prayed for according to Thy Perfect Will.
Than a lady in my Bible Study group volunteered to come in with me the last two weeks. Yesterday, a dear friend from another local ministry contacted me and volunteered to come in with a few of her volunteers to help with this Sunday. This meant we could continue with our monthly worship service and would not have to cancel. As of today we now have three more new volunteers. I also just heard a Pastor is getting trained this month to become a volunteer in the prisons.
Our God is sovereign. Yes, He is, and He is Faithful and Eternal. Even if He had chosen to answer this prayer another way He would still be God. We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps (Ps. 16:9.) He calls us. He equips us. His plans succeed.
He surely is The Lord of the Harvest and we know He loves His sheep far more than we do.
He is Faithful.
