A heart of flesh…

The will of the heart;

“It calls evil good & good evil; is desperately wicked; it is deadly, it is desperate.”

“For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.”

“The heart is the cage of every unclean bird, the hold of every foul spirit; all sin is forged and framed in it; all manner of evil comes out of it.”

This would be a hopeless post if there wasn’t any real hope or a way to overcome our wicked hearts.

Since our hearts are evil, unclean, and so desperately wicked we MUST REPENT and admit WE NEED CHRIST’S blood and life to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. We NEED JESUS.

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

This is why our JESUS came, lived, died, and rose again. Jesus came for us, the sick, the wicked, the foul, the unrighteous, the ones with evil hearts.

Why?  Jesus came so we could have all the righteousness of JESUS living in us, cleansing us, renewing us, and transforming us. He came so we could have a hope in the world surrounded by hopelessness. He came so we could be cleansed and FREE from our evil hearts.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

So many are being discouraged by all the evil and darkness around us in the world but there is still a HOPE to cling to and a HOPE to share with others.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

This needs to be enough for us to rejoice in today.

May we find grace in the eyes of the Lord. May we find true joy in our salvation. May our hearts return to the joy of our salvation.

Thank You, Christ JESUS, for all Your cleansing blood. Thank you, that You loved us first. Thank You, that despite our wickedness we can repent, come to You, and You take us in Your arms and hold us close to You. Thank You, that You cleanse us. Thank You, for Your hope, the hope of the world.
