We, together, are praying you will choose to walk His path for your life and stay on the path to victory and freedom in Christ.
Here is the continuation of the Roman’s road…
“Why wouldn’t you accept God’s gift of amazing love, forgiveness, and mercy? And it is a gift. Eph. 2: 8-10 Because of His kindness you can be saved through trusting in Christ. And even trusting isn’t of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it. It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long, long ago he planned that we should spend those lives in helping others.
So when you accept this beautiful gift, when you ask Jesus to be Lord and maste of your life, do you know what that means?
Your sins are forgiven Col. 2:13,14
You are a new creation; the old has passed away
You are a child of God and heirs with Christ
You are a citizen of heaven
You are blessed with every spiritual blessing
You are complete in Jesus
You are strong in the Lord
You are more than a conqueror
You are released from sin’s slavery
You are delivered out of darkness and into the kingdom of Christ
You are an ambassador for Christ
You are a member of a royal priesthood and citizen of a holy nation
You are the temple of the living God
You are transformed
You are brought near to Christ
You belong to Christ
You are holy, faultless and covered in God’s love
You are free from condemnation
You are filled with His peace
You are changed by the word
You are led by the Spirit
You are filled with God’s power to practice biblical love, proving to be a disciple
Have you ever heard of such a benefits package?!!! There is no other like it!
Eph. 1: 17-23 I pray that God the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, would give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. I pray that your hearts would be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future h has called you to share. I want you to realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ’s have been given to Him! I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great His power is to help those who believe Him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at the right hand of God in heaven, far far above any king or ruler or dictator or leader. His honor is far more glorious of that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come. And God has put all things under His feet and made Him the Supreme Head of the church –which is His holy body, filled with Himself, the author and giver of everything everywhere. That’s Jesus!!
“So now what,” you say. I do want Jesus as my Lord and my Savior. Ro. 10:9 I’ve confessed with my mouth and I believe in my heart…now what? Ro. 5: 1-4 since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. For because of our faith, he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us – they help us to learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.
Ro. 6:12-15 When those problems arise, don’t let sin control your body any longer; do not give into it’s sinful desires. Do not let any part of your bodies become tools of wickedness to be used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God- every part of you – for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for His good purposes. Sin need never again be your master; you are free under God’s favor and mercy. Does it mean that if we sin, we don’t have to be concerned about it?
-because our salvation does not depend on keeping laws but on receiving God’s grace- of course not!
Ro. 12:1-2 So I plead with you; give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy-the kind He can accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the customs and behavior of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you.
Ro. 12:9-11 Don’t just pretend that you love others; really love them. Hate what is wrong, stand on the side of good. Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.
Ro. 12:12-13 Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble and prayerful always. When God’s children are in need, you be the one to help them out.
Ro. 12:14-16 If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. When others are happy, be happy with them. If they’re sad, share their sorrow. Work happily together. Don’t try to act big. Don’t try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don’t think you know it all!
Ro. 12:17-19 Never pay back evil for evil. Do thins in such a way that everyone can see you are honest clear through. Don’t quarrel with anyone. Be at peace with everyone, just as much as possible. And don’t avenge yourself-leave that to God, for He has said he will repay those who deserve it. Don’t take the law into your own hands.
Ro.14:1-5 Be kind to any sister who wants to join you, even though her faith is weak. Don’t criticize her for having different ideas from yours about what is right and wrong. Don’t argue nor look down on her nor find fault with her. For God has accepted her to be his child. She is God’s servant; not yours. She is responsible to Him, not you. Let Him tell her whether she is right or wrong. And God is able to make her do as she should.
Ro.14:13 So don’t criticize each other. Instead, be an agent of goodness and peace and joy from the Holy Spirit. If you let Christ be Lord in these situations, God will be glad and so will others. Doing this, you’ll be aiming for harmony and you’ll build each other up. Let’s please the other person, not ourselves and do what is for her good and thus build her up in the Lord. Christ is our example: He didn’t come to please Himself.
Finally, grow in Christ. Read and pray.
Pay attention to what I’ve said
Live in harmony and peace.
And may the God of love and peace be with you. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.”
