Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
When we pray do we truly ask for HIS WILL to be done or are we greedily begging for ours? Are you willing to wait on His will?
When you pray do you wait to hear an answer or decide for yourself? Are you watching for what is about to happen next? Are you waiting on the Lord knowing He will answer?
Sometimes God is silent in prayer and we get to choose to go deeper in our understanding of who He is or we may choose to get frustrated and take matters into our own hands.
There are two boats. One has an anchor and the other does not. Which one do you ride in during those silent times of waiting in prayer or through the trials. Do you seek after the boat that you can move at any momemt and time or are you content to be in the one with the anchor that is keeping you in His perfect will?
Hebrews 6:19 says, “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” So let us anchors away and wait on the Lord knowing HIS WILL BE DONE, not ours, as we wait on him in prayer. Remember He is God and we are NOT!
