Royce Gomez, founder of Freedom Trails, has worked full-time with horses and humans since 2002. She is shown here with her Mustang, Ruby.
Our goal is to restore self-confidence and bring healing, hope, and freedom to broken women and youth by building relationships and connecting them to horses while using a purposefully designed needs-based curriculum
Brokenness. Abandonment. Depression. Hopelessness.
Whether we hear about them on the news, see them on the street, or come face to face with them in the mirror, we encounter these things everyday.
Can you imagine a place where a woman who is broken or hurting can find solitude, laughter, transparent community, and security? Whether she finds herself in an unhealthy relationship, a recent divorce, or a difficult season of change, there is always hope for healing and freedom.
Can you imagine a place where a teen can open up and feel accepted, understood, and valuable? A place where that teen can open up his/her heart and feel safe as they process the turmoil of their teen years? Perhaps you know someone experiencing the pain of divorce or abandonment. We here at Freedom Trails want you to know that in whatever situation you find yourself in today, there is hope for tomorrow.
The founders of Freedom Trails have been touched by feelings of abandonment, the bondage of addiction, the pain of abuse, and the guilt of abortion. These challenges extend far beyond our own personal experiences; they are faces in the lives of individuals all across the country. Freedom Trails exists to offer women and teens a place where they can come and learn the skills necessary to be empowered and encouraged to move from brokenness and despair to hope and freedom.
The trail of life often seems to be coupled with adversity. At times we just need to stop and rest. There are times when we need to adjust our relationships through forgiveness or reconciliation, and there are times we may feel completely alone in our travels. The trail is long and the terrain is hard, but there is no point along the journey where freedom, hope and healing are too far out of reach.
Freedom Trails wants to help you by imparting the skills necessary to overcome those challenges, past or present, removing the stronghold they have on you. Freedom Trails offers a unique program integrating horses with activities designed to help you identify needed skills to make your journey on the trail lighter and more fulfilling.
Our goal is to restore self-confidence and bring healing, hope, and freedom to broken women and youth by building relationships and connecting them to horses while using a purposefully designed needs-based curriculum.
“The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man.”
