Today while planning the music to do with the women I came across “Pocket Full of Rocks.”
This totally met the need.
I looked up their web page and their bio and the story stood so true to what I want for the women.
We all need JESUS in order to be more than just a crumbled mess of rocks left untouched.
For us, the ROCK, is when JESUS touches us with HIS TRUTH and pulls us out of the pocket (the pit) and makes us WHOLE. We can only be WHOLE when we are WHOLLY surrendered to HIM and taken as HIS OWN.
We are on a journey with these women and watching HIM make much of them as His children and showing HIS GLORY through their life is powerful to see. They were created for HIS GLORY!
Today there are fires raging here and man is struggling to get them all put out but I have to remember HIS PROMISE for our life. I have to remember in life when flood waters of trials are over powering that HIS PROMISE is true.
1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give men in exchange for you,
and people in exchange for your life.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.
6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth-
7 everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”
8 Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,
who have ears but are deaf.
To KNOW HIM as HE IS and WHO HE IS… the SAVIOR of the LOST AND BROKEN … us… HE CAME FOR US (me and you) and to set US FREE from a bondage to being broken and made us WHOLE.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!
In HIS GRIP.
