“It’s Better To Build Children Than To Repair Men and Women.”

It not only is better, it is far easier, to build a child in the ways of the LORD. However, not every child has the chance to be placed and raised in a loving home environment, with loving parents, and now we are left to teach, train, disciple, those whom HE calls us to go to, to reach out to.
It is truly a desire of their heart for their children to not follow in their footsteps, it is in the hearts of so, so many women I speak with and disciple. It is the cry of their hearts, a cry to GOD to take their children and let them know the truth and not fall into the pit they fell into.
Yes, I also know there are women out there who speak of not caring for their children and have hearts of stone, but JESUS went to those women too, those that society left as hopeless. We, as His chosen vessels, don’t get to choose who we minister to, we only go where He leads us.
One of the most crushing things for me is when I hear a Christian sister, or Christian brother, cast harsh judgement and unforgiving attitudes upon those in prison. They haven’t walked in their footsteps, they have not seen their hearts (their crushed hearts) to see how truly broken they are. They often do not even try to understand them or where they have come from. Sin is very ugly and darkness very deep.
Instead, with the rest of society, they leave them laying on the side of the road like the parable about a man who was attacked and robbed and left to die where everyone passes them by but the good Samaritan. These women, and men, have been robbed – their life was robbed of their childhood. They had their trust stripped from them. They have been attacked just as was the man in the parable. They have lost much and are left spiritual dead along the side of the road, or in prison, and so many just pass them by.
Are they broke beyond repair? No, but only Jesus, only Jesus (not any twelve step program) and His Holy Spirit are able to heal, repair, and transform their life into something meaningful. They are incapable of picking themselves up by their boot straps. They can’t transform their life and we cannot guilt, shame, or condemn them into obedience.  If they are chosen to be His only Jesus is able to turn all these damaging things in their life for the good. (Romans 8:28)
You see, He is the doctor we take them to. He is the truth that takes their terribly messed up, hopeless, destroyed, dead, and empty life and turns it for His good. It is by His power and for His glory that He takes their life and washes it with His healing grace. The best thing is we don’t have to pay the inn keeper like the Samaritan did as our God does it for Free! Let me hear an, Amen!
As His word tells us the anger of man has never brought about the righteousness of God. (James 1:20)  It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy that these women, or men, will come to see and hear the truth, His truth (Romans 9:16). He opens their eyes and ears to see and understand HIS GRACE!
This is when we get to see, HIS GRACE, pour out of these who have been forgiven much, we see them loving much, and oh, how freely they do worship Him. They wash His feet with their hair and do not consider the cost of the perfume which they pour upon His feet.  They are fully rejoicing in the freedom, even if they are to spend the rest of their earthly life behind bars.  When they are given HIS FREEDOM, they know they are truly, truly FREE indeed!
Aren’t we all (who are saved) saved by His grace? Didn’t we all fall short of the GLORY of GOD? So how can any of us cast a stone upon them?  How are any one of us able to bring about condemnation?
Lord my prayer is that You will return all of us unto the joy of our salvation. Psalm 51:12 Restore to us the joy of your salvation and grant us a willing spirit, to sustain us. Then we will be able to teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.
The LORD says; I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. He drew us out, we were drawn by His love for us.
That we may all take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful. Again you will plant vineyards.
(Jeremiah 31:3-5)
May we all love You (Lord God Almighty and most Wonderful Savior) with all our hearts and may we love our neighbors as our self.
We know we walk in His ways and truly follow His will for our life when our day is absorbed up by the studying, reading, memorizing, and meditating on His Word.  We may find we go in directions that we didn’t necessarily have in mind but the safest place is always in His good, pleasing, and perfect will (no matter where that may be.)
TO GOD BE THE GLORY for the things He has done and is doing… daily!!
In His arms, In His grace filled arms.
