You will be held – a promise from our God!

One of His promises for us today, tomorrow, and forever is that we’d be held through it all.
Hold” in the 1828 Webster’s states it like this:
to retain in one’s keeping; to maintain possession of, or authority over; not to give up or relinquish; to keep; to defend.
What a perfect example of HOW HE HOLDS US!
This is one truth that I can hang on to daily. To know it is HIS promise to NEVER leave me and NEVER forsake me.
In Psalm 139:10 it says it clearly too, ” Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me”
He thinks I am so important that He takes knowledge of my every action and thought.
I know so many who are really suffering today and we don’t and won’t always understand the pain in life and why it has to happen. We don’t have the mind of GOD to see what the future holds.
No matter what earthly circumstances or painful suffering we may be enduring it will not ever compare with His suffering and dying on the cross.
All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen
This is His truth and we must have faith and believe His word to be true and quit doubting.  He does not give grace to the proud. He opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.  Pride comes in many forms too. Even one who is suffering may be hanging on to their suffering as a form of pride in how much they have to suffer to have others look to them and not to Christ.  In their suffering they may be leaning into the trust of man and not their Savior.   Anything that makes us take our eyes off Jesus is pride.
Why would our God allow His Son to die? Why would God chose to have His Son sacrificed?  Why would His Son freely give His life? For GREAT LOVE for His children this is why. Because our GOD knew our need of Hi.  Our God knew we needed Him to be within us, holding us daily.  He knew our cry would be for  Him in our pain.  He knew He would be strengthening us in our daily struggles. He knew we needed a teacher, a Lord, a comforter, and savior.  He knew it was to be Jesus, the Son of God, the Son of Man, the Life and Light of the world. He is glorified in His Son’s perfect sacrifice.
Jesus Christ had to die. He died so He could live, again, and show His perfect grace. He knew it would take His living within us that we too could live.  Jesus Christ makes us also be conquers over death.
If we are more than conquers with Him over death, than why do we feeble little men worry about our trials and struggles? We have conquered death with JESUS CHRIST. May we be given daily strength to hang on to this truth.
Don’t give up, or forget, or lose hope through your trials or sufferings.  Remember to count them as pure joy. For in them you will be made strong by His power. Do not doubt or have disbelief. Keep the faith! Stop giving excuses and saying but…but…but.
Trials and Temptations
James 1:2-8
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
This is what it means to be held and know the truth that will set you free!
