The HEART of our Faith

Today, I was reading in Romans 10:8-11 about faith and believing who He is. Scripture talks about our faith and how we are to confess it with our mouth.  Faith is also knowing it in our heart.  God knows the difference from simply speaking a faith, just having a head knowledge of faith, and a true heart acceptance of faith. Faith that is real is manifested in our heart from the power of His Light. He chooses to open our eyes, shine Light into the darkness of our stoney hearts, so even our faith is from Him.  AMEN!

Romans 10:8-11

But what does it say?  “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);  because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.
Something from George Muller’s life journal;
“The more I am in a position for my “faith” to be tried… the more opportunity I will have of seeing God’s help and deliverance.”
A prayer;
Father, my natural tendency is to run from trials and difficulties. With my mouth I have declared my trust in You, but with my heart I have show myself unfaithful.  Help me today to stand firmly in my trust in You, whatever may come my way. I take the promises of Your Word as my own and receive strength to rest solely in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.
