The Word of truth says;
“I lay down My life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again.”
No one took Jesus’ life. He gave it. The truth tells us He laid down His life. We didn’t take it from Him. He gave it for us.
His Word says;
““You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
If we were created by His will than we are His, because of Him, not because of anything we did, or can do, or will do but because of His will. We were chosen to be His. He chose to give His life for His sheep. Our Father’s will was for Jesus to die. It wasn’t our will. Man did not kill Jesus. The Jews did not kill Jesus. Roman soldiers did not kill Jesus. It was the Father’s will that His Son, Jesus, die for our sins so we would be redeemed and all the righteous requirements would be fully, that’s 100%, met in us through His chosen sacrifice. (Romans 8)
He chose to die for us as our sins needed a sacrifice. This was God’s ultimate plan from the beginning of time. If we believe it was His perfect will and understand fully how much He loved us to send His everlasting Son to die in our place than why do we fear or worry about anything? Don’t we know fully what His Word tells us? Christ died willingly for us, and Our Father raised Him up from the dead. He has power over death, and we are one with Him.
How can we not know He will provide for us everything else we need – forever? Why or how can we possibly doubt Him? Isn’t sending Christ to die for us far greater than anything any man could do? Hasn’t He already provided us with everything we need. Colossians 2:9-10 says we are complete in Him. Surely He will continue to give us all we ever need or hope for.
Today, may He give us understanding to truly trust in His good, pleasing and perfect will. May we see and understand Who He is and drink it in fully. May He give us rest in knowing and understanding we are His chosen children today and forever.
May we know what He meant when He said… “I AM!” He is! Over, and over, and over in my life I am finding He truly is the great I AM. His life and sacrifice is a Love song for us, forever.
