I am pretty sure you know this song ‘Voice of Truth’ and have heard it before.
As I heard it today I thought of His R.O.C. Ministry and the doubts that have come against it this week.
When walking with Him, we must instead listen to the Voice of Truth. NEVER are we to listen to the doubts, fears, frustrations, that will come against us and tried to be planted in our minds. We are not to have a spirit of fear.
We must reject the lies and shed HIS TRUTH on them. They have no power over truth.
He will call us to step out into the raging waters over and over so that our FAITH will grow and our dependence on HIM will become greater and greater with each little step. We cannot rely on our own abilities and strength. We must be weak so that HE is strong!
I love the saying that says, “I would take a hut on a ROCK over a Castle on sand any day.” Oh, wouldn’t you??? AMEN!!
I will pray with you as I know it is hard to lean on Him when things seem to be going in another direction but if you know HIS voice and are truly HIS sheep… do not look to any other shepherd but Him. Trust in His Truth! He never changes.
Despite those who were trying to lead us in other ways we knew God was calling us here.
This saying was on my fridge when the selling of our house wasn’t happening in my time, but in HIS time. I hung on to His truth when we had to wait on Him for getting into the facility here when others were discouraging us against it and said that it would not be possible for us “newcomers” to take a new ministry so soon to the women’s prison. It is Him who is now walking us through the new trials we are facing at here etc. And it will be HIM who opens the doors, leads us, and is with us to the end. He is the ONE constant through it all!
We have to look to Him alone. Be still and listen to Him and not logically think through things as the world sees. We have to know HIS TRUTH and plant it deep within our entire being. We can’t just take HIS LIFE within us lightly. It must consume us… wholly consume us … to the depth of our bones. It says that HE will go into the ‘marrow’ of our being. That is pretty deep isn’t it?
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
HE promises us that HE WILL NEVER ABANDON us… valleys, mountains…through it all HE IS STILL WORTHY of all our praise!!
This is the small note I have on my fridge:
“Learn also to wait on God for the unfolding of HIS will. Let God form your plans about everything in your mind and heart and then let HIM execute them. Do not possess any wisdom of your own. For many times HIS execution will seem so contradictory to the plan HE gave. He will seem to work against Himself. Simply listen, obey, and trust God even when it seems highest folly so to do. He will in the end make “all things work together,” but so many times in the first appearance of the outworking of His plans,
“In His own world He is content to play a losing game.”
So if you would know His voice, never consider results or possible effects. Obey even when He asks you to move in the dark. He Himself will be gloriously light in you. And there will spring up rapidly in your heart an acquaintanceship and a fellowship with God which will be overpowering in itself to hold you and Him together, even in the severest testings and under most terrible pressures. –“
If you feel you are alone in some journey HE has you on please remember His words of truth, to just BE STILL and KNOW THAT HE IS GOD!! HE has NOT left you!!
Please lift our ministry in prayer as we journey on the path HE has before us and as we learn to daily completely trust in HIM for the guidance of the future.
Pray for the women that we have started to disciple and minister to. WOW, what precious sisters they are , these who are going to do a mighty work for the LORD. PRAISE HIM!! Pray that GOD will raise up a mighty Church of HIS, for HIS Glory, within the walls that will shine, oh shine, for HIM!!
A lot of changes are taking place in the facility in the next months so please pray for HIS hand in all of this. They are getting a new Warden, a new Assistant Warden, a new director, many shift movement changes – just know a lot is being moved and shifted around and we are literally crying out to HIM and praying for HIS FAVOR through it all and trusting HIM with the outcomes.
In HIS arms may each one of you get those HINDS FEET and CLIMB to the mountain tops… once again and again.
